Raymond completed studies in Philosophy and Pedagogy at Universidad Francisco Marroquín, where he obtained their technical degrees in Middle School Teaching in both of the above-mentioned subjects in 2002. His service orientation led him develop as an educator at the Sociedad de San Francisco de Sales from 2001 up to 2010, during which time he was appointed to be the Local Coordinator of the Centro Catequístico Salesiano of the Santo Doming Savio works in Cartago City, Costa Rica, from 2001 through 2004.
In December 2004, he was appointed Administrator and Director of the Centro Juvenil Salesiano (CEJUSA) in Guatemala City, where he developed afterschool training and education programs for children and young athletes. In 2007, he was awarded a grant to study a Certificate Program in Career Orientation and Spiritual Accompaniment at the Universidad Pontificia Salesiana, Rome, Italy. Upon his return in Guatemala and up to 2010, he developed training experiences with teenagers and youngsters, in addition to his teaching activities in Psychology and Catechism Instruction for the Centro Salesiano de Estudios Superiores, affiliated with Universidad Mesoamericana.
In 2011, he joined the teaching high school team of Colegio Suizo Americano, San Cristóbal Campus, where he taught Chemistry and Biology, and by that year he also finished his studies in Clinical Psychology at Universidad Rafael Landívar, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree honored by the Cum Laude distinction and the Laudatory Mention granted by the Faculty of Humanities to the best thesis presented in the Clinical Psychology career. Such thesis referred about Neuropsychological Assessment of Cognitive Detriment in Senior Citizens; this thesis was also granted the Academic Honor Medal by the Guatemalan College of Psychologist in June 2012.
Raymond has a Certificate from the International Program of Healthcare Psychology supported by Organización Aula Psicológica, in Bogota, Colombia; and has finished his postgraduate studies under the online methodology, with Asociación Educar, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Neuropsychoeducation, Multiple Intelligences, and Self-Regulation, the latter being at the stage of writing the final graduate work. He is also finishing his postgraduate courses to obtain the Master degree in Clinical Psychology and Psycho-Therapeutic Practices at Universidad Rafael Landívar.
Raymond is a university teacher and delivers professional training courses in the psychology area at Universidad Rafael Landívar. He also performs professionally as an independent psychotherapist for teenagers and adults; and he also delivers training workshops to multiple populations in subjects related to human development.
